So just who exactly am I? Well, I'm a student, and will probably continue being one for a long time. I am currently in my last year of an undergrad in Political Science at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada... and not really sure what's happening next. I've applied to the JET programme and I am just waiting to hear back from them to see if I'll be spending my summer scaling back my life so it fits neatly into two 50 pound suitcases. After that I plan to hit up law school and pursue (eventually) a career in Environmental Law!
So what makes me interesting? Well...
- I've applied for the JET Programme, which means I should be spending next year teaching as an Assistant Language Teacher somewhere in Japan. Should this be the next step for me, I will blog the entire process for those of you curious about joining the JET Programme!
- I am a Foodie. Raised in Vancouver and living in Ottawa, I have a great passion for the many cuisines of the world. I like to dine out with friends and lovers, and I definitely have an opinion about the restaurants I visit. Curious about the food world in Ottawa? Stay tuned!
- I am a Celiac. This tends to go against my love of food, but it also means that I love to cook! I am constantly trying different recipes and adapting ones to make them fit my diet. I can promise you guys that as I come across amazing gluten-free recipes, I shall post them here!
- I am deeply concerned about the Environment, and I love to write about great technologies and companies that work towards making us all just a little bit more green. Interested in greening up your lifestyle? Give me a follow!
- I am a Student. Aren't all students interesting? No? Well I'll post odd rambles and annoyances with the student life... so there!
- I am a Mac-head. After being a die-hard Windows lover for all my life, I switched to the Mac OS in 2005 and haven't really looked back since. I tend to follow the life and times of the Mac OS on the internets and usually have an opinion regarding their next big thing so keep your eyes peeled.
I think that pretty much sums me up... I'm sure there are many more facets to my existence, but I have a whack of reading for my classes this week. Say Hi everyone!
